Construction Superintendent

Brockwell & Carrington Contractors, Inc. is seeking a full-time Construction Superintendent with 10+ years of experience in the public-works sector of general contracting.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience overseeing at least 3–4 ground-up public projects valued at $15 million or more, preferably in New Jersey.
  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents, including Architectural, Structural, Civil, and MEP drawings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft RFIs, maintain daily reports, and correspond professionally via email.
  • Working knowledge of CPM scheduling with the ability to provide progress updates to the scheduling consultant.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Masonry or Carpentry background highly preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and to B&C quality standards.
  • Conduct daily site photos and maintain organized documentation.
  • Lead and coordinate activities among subcontractors and trades.
  • Foster and maintain professional communication with Owners, subcontractors, inspectors, and union representatives.
  • Conduct and document Toolbox Talks and ensure compliance with all safety requirements.
  • Oversee quality control and enforce B&C’s standards for workmanship.
