Brockwell & Carrington Contractors, Inc. is seeking a full-time Construction Superintendent with 10+ years of experience in the public-works sector of general contracting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience overseeing at least 3–4 ground-up public projects valued at $15 million or more, preferably in New Jersey.
- Ability to read and interpret contract documents, including Architectural, Structural, Civil, and MEP drawings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft RFIs, maintain daily reports, and correspond professionally via email.
- Working knowledge of CPM scheduling with the ability to provide progress updates to the scheduling consultant.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Masonry or Carpentry background highly preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and to B&C quality standards.
- Conduct daily site photos and maintain organized documentation.
- Lead and coordinate activities among subcontractors and trades.
- Foster and maintain professional communication with Owners, subcontractors, inspectors, and union representatives.
- Conduct and document Toolbox Talks and ensure compliance with all safety requirements.
- Oversee quality control and enforce B&C’s standards for workmanship.
